Since 2007, we have been committed to promoting the value of reading and our mission is to do so through Community, Connectedness, and Culture. 

River Lights Bookstore is located on the historic Main Street in Dubuque, IA, in a building dating back to the 1880s. We're a general interest bookstores selling new titles in all genres, from kids to adults, fiction to non-fiction to cookbooks and art. The store is curated with literary themed gifts, journals, greeting cards, stationary, puzzles, daily newspapers, and magazines. We support and represent many local authors with book signings and a section of the store dedicated to these talented writers. We host author events, book clubs, and writer groups, partner with schools and universities, Carnegie Stout Public Library, local businesses, organizations, and non-profits. Discounts are offered to teachers, book club members, and on orders for schools, businesses, and non-profits. The River Lights staff will help you find your next great read and if a title is not found in the store we are happy to order a copy for you at no extra cost, shipping is also an option at a reasonable price.
